Almost every routing is two stops: an international leg to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, then Delhi, then the domestic hop to Amritsar. We often price a Delhi stopover at no extra fare, which lets you break a very long journey and see family in the capital on the way through.

Ask whether the Delhi–Amritsar domestic leg is on the same ticket. If it is and your international flight is delayed, the airline rebooks you. If it isn't, you're on your own.
Some travellers do better flying into Delhi and taking the train or a car to Amritsar — around 6 hours. We'll tell you honestly when that's the better call.
