Mumbai is our second-busiest India route and the natural gateway to Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. It's also the best-connected Indian airport for onward domestic travel.
How you actually get there.
Singapore and Kuala Lumpur both offer strong single-stop options at around 21 hours. An overnight Singapore connection keeps your travel day intact rather than landing you in Mumbai at 3am.
Business travellers, Gujarati and Maharashtrian families, and holidaymakers connecting on to Goa or Kerala.
Timing moves this fare more than anything else.
Avoid the June to September monsoon unless you know what you're signing up for — the city genuinely floods. November to February is the best weather and the fares are reasonable outside the Christmas peak.
Relative fare pressure across a typical year on the NZ–India corridor — how demand usually moves, not a forecast for any specific date.
Things worth knowing before you pay.
Mumbai has two terminals and the domestic-international transfer takes time. Leave at least three hours if you're connecting onward.
If Goa is your real destination, ask us to price the domestic leg together with the international ticket rather than booking it separately.
Immigration queues at Mumbai can be long at peak arrival times. A daytime arrival is worth paying a little more for.
